    Sally Wu is the Deputy Head of Phoenix InfoNews Channel and also one of the best known anchors at Phoenix Satellite Television. Sally is one of the most influential media personalities in the Chinese world.

    In 1993, Sally started to work in STAR TV in Hong Kong, where she was appointed as a presenter and Executive Producer. In 1996, she transferred to Phoenix TV, where she worked as a presenter and hosted a lot of major programs such as "Sally's Eye on the World", Phoenix's reporting of the Hong Kong handover ceremony in 1997, the program Flying Over the Yellow River, 911 Attack and Shenzhou V Manned Space Mission.

    And she currently hosts leading programs including evening prime time news as "The Asian Journal" and "Mainland Q & A" which interviews leadership personnel in the Greater China.

    Since 2014 Sally started hosting the dialogue "Doers On The Move" in which figures who really want to do something and do accomplish something share their ideas with her.

    Furthermore, in 2015 she hosted a show named "Driving A New Era" in which she talked with influential entrepreneurs from different sectors including technology, internet and culture.

    Sally's work at Phoenix has been extremely well received. Her accomplishments in the television industry have been recognized by an impressive collection of awards:
    In 1998, Sally was voted as one of Top-10 Vogue Personalities by China Youth Daily, a leading news*** in China.
    In 1998, Sally was named one of the Top-10 News Figures by Huasheng Monthly, a Beijing-based magazine distributed worldwide in 120 countries. The magazine recognized her for her unique position in the Chinese media in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
    In 1998, Coinciding with the Media of the Year Award to Phoenix TV by New Weekly, Sally won Top-10 Favorite Award 1998.
    In 1998, Sally was voted Most Popular Anchor by the Beijing Youth Daily, another widely circulated news***.
    In 1999, she was named as one of "50 People you should know in today's China" by Asiaweek.
    In 2000, she was voted as one of "the 20 most influential women" by The Globe, the magazine published by Xinhua News Agency.
    In 2002, Sally was named "the professional Young Emerging figure" in the poll of "2002 Young Emerging figures" organized by New Youth program of Hunan Satellite TV and Beijing Youth Daily.
    In 2002, Sally was invited by the U.S. State Department to join the 2002's International Visitor Program to conduct a specially arranged 3-week field trip.
    In 2004, Sally received the Thailand Elite Card from this country membership club as a friend of Thailand.
    In 2004, Sally was named one of the "Ten Most Successful Women 2004" by the Hong Kong's Jessica magazine.
    In 2004,Organized by CCP Youth League Central, Cultural Bureau, Guangdong provincial government, National Youth Federation and Shenzhen city government, the "Top Chinese Teenage Idol" poll voted and picked Sally from 100 candidates by 380,000 valid votes. She was in the top list just after China's first astronaut Yang Li Wei, Little Giant Yao Ming in NBA and the self-made millionaire Ding Lui of NetEase.

    In 2017, Sally was appointed as Promotion Ambassador of Village Early Education Center Program by China Development Research Foundation.
    Besides deeply involved in her media profession, Sally also participates in the commonwealth and charity activities in various capacities (Charity Ambassador, China Charity Federation in 1999. Co-hosting many charity shows, such as Hong Kong charity shows for Sichuan earthquake in 2008, Taiwan 88 flood in 2009 and Yushu earthquake in 2010).
